Association Montessori Internationale
Our agency partnered with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), a renowned non-governmental organization (NGO), to revamp their digital presence and enhance the user experience on their website. This case study showcases our successful collaboration, which involved the development of an extensive frontend framework based on Tailwind CSS and seamlessly integrated into Drupal. Our focus on sustainability, our component-based approach with flexible UI components, and the implementation of a drag and drop layout builder resulted in a transformative solution for AMI.
Challenge
AMI needed a modern, user-friendly website that accurately represented their mission and provided an intuitive experience for their global audience. They required a frontend framework that could support their content management framework (CMF) and allow for easy customization and maintenance. Sustainability was a key concern for AMI, as they sought a solution that is cost-effective and supported their commitment to responsible practices.
Frontend Framework Development
Our team developed an extensive frontend framework using Tailwind CSS, a highly versatile and customizable CSS framework. This framework provided a solid foundation for building a responsive and visually appealing website for AMI. We leveraged the power of a component-based approach, creating a library of flexible UI components with various variants to cater to AMI's diverse content needs. This approach allowed for consistency, reusability, and easy customization across the website.
Integration with Drupal
We seamlessly integrated the frontend framework with AMI's existing CMF Drupal, a robust and scalable content management platform. The integration allowed AMI to leverage the benefits of a powerful CMF while harnessing the flexibility and aesthetics of the frontend framework. The integration also enabled efficient content management, ensuring that updates and modifications could be made easily and without disrupting the overall design and functionality.
Drag and Drop Layout Builder
To empower AMI with greater control over their website's layout and content, we implemented a drag and drop layout builder. This intuitive tool allowed AMI's content editors to effortlessly arrange and customize page layouts, without the need for complex coding or technical expertise. The drag and drop functionality enhanced the user experience, enabling AMI to present their content in a visually engaging manner that resonated with their audience.
Sustainability and Workflow
In line with AMI's commitment to sustainability, we implemented a Git versioning system and a streamlined deployment workflow. This allowed for efficient collaboration, version control, and seamless updates, reducing errors and ensuring a sustainable development process. The sustainable practices embedded within our workflow aligned perfectly with AMI's values, making the collaboration a natural fit.
Conclusion
Our collaboration with AMI resulted in a transformative digital experience that aligned with their mission and catered to their global audience. The extensive frontend framework based on Tailwind CSS, integrated into Drupal, empowered AMI with a user-friendly, customizable, and sustainable website solution. The drag and drop layout builder enhanced content management, while our commitment to sustainability and streamlined workflows demonstrated our shared values as an agency working with NGOs. Together, we created a digital platform that reflects AMI's vision, engages their audience, and supports their mission of promoting Montessori education worldwide.
